About me
Sean Pierce -
Raised by a single mother in a small North Dakota town, my journey hasn’t been a straight path. By 17, I was on my own, struggling to find stability. I experienced homelessness and bounced between various jobs until I returned to North Dakota to work in the oil fields. Starting at the bottom, I worked grueling hours, eventually rising to become a production operations field supervisor, managing and mentoring a team of over 50 people.
One lesson stood out during that time: while I could teach the technical side of the job, I couldn’t teach people to care enough to succeed. That realization shaped my guiding principle: living with intention and taking control of your life. You either decide to change, or you don’t.
Parallel to my oil field career, I cultivated a deep passion for fire performance. Over the years, I became a seasoned fire performer and eventually co-directed a troupe. In that role, I provided guidance, taught techniques, structured practices, and ensured routines were safe and polished. Watching people grow into their confidence and skill was as rewarding as the art itself. The balance of discipline and creativity I found through performing deeply influenced how I approach both life and coaching.
But my life wasn’t without struggles. I spent 15 years battling depression, suicidal thoughts, addiction, and a toxic marriage. I carried every bad coping mechanism in the book—negative self-talk, validation-seeking, and solving others’ problems to avoid my own.
In 2017, I hit a breaking point. I quit drinking, quit smoking, and started yoga. It wasn’t enough, but it gave me a foothold. Then, in 2019, my father committed suicide. I told my partner at the time, “I want to want to live.” That moment pushed me to rebuild my life.
Since then, I’ve devoted myself to lifelong learning and self-discovery. I’ve explored countless ways of living to find what truly feels right for me. I’ve committed to therapy, read numerous self-development books, and completed life coaching programs to refine my craft. I’ve also delved into bodybuilding, distance running, yoga, and nutrition to address and reverse health issues. These efforts have helped me understand myself better—physically, emotionally, and practically.
In 2024, I sold everything I owned, left America, and began traveling full-time. I’ve since backpacked through Southeast Asia, living in Cambodia and exploring cultures that continue to shape my perspective on balance, resilience, and growth.
My experiences—overcoming personal struggles, managing teams in high-pressure environments, and leading in creative spaces—have taught me how to inspire change. Combined with my professional training at UCI and completion of the Co-Active Foundations course, I’ve gained the tools to help others transform their lives, just as I’ve transformed my own.
If you’re ready to design your dream life, I’m here to guide you through the process. Let’s talk about how you can pave your own way—book your first coaching call today.
